"Do not use on white jeans"
March 30, 2015
"I used a Tide to Go pen on my brand new white jeans. Now I have yellow stains in the two spots I used the Tide to Go pen. What can I do to get rid of the yellow stains? I'm really disappointed Tide did this to my white jeans and now I cannot wear them. I would have never expected these results from a Tide product and have always used Tide products for all laundry needs. I'll be reconsidering moving forward after this bad experience leaving me with ruined jeans."

Oh no, Kali! We can completely understand your disappointment in the yellow spotting, as who doesn't love the feel of a brand new pair of jeans?! Typically, if you use a damp cloth to dab away any excess Tide to Go solution left on the fabric, you should continue to have brilliantly white pants, as expected. Thankfully, the staining your seeing is removable. Just mix a soak solution in a plastic bucket using 1/2 dose (approximately 25 mls) of Tide detergent per gallon of warm water. Allow the pants to soak for up to 30 minutes, weighting them down with a white towel, ensuring they stay completely submerged. After soaking, wash in the warmest water setting with 1 dose of Tide detergent (we recommend Tide Plus Bleach Alternative) to revive your garment. In hopes that you'll consider giving Tide another try, we'd also like to invite you to give us a call at 1-855-236-3353 so we can help further in reviving your trust in Tide as well. We look forward to hearing from you again soon!

"Works but use with CAUTION"
November 2, 2014
"Loved this product until I used it last night on my favorite camel colored coat. I got red lipstick on the coat and although it was a small mark I figured the pen would remove the stain as it usually has with other clothing. Once I used it on the coat it seemed to remove it until I checked the following day and realized the HUGE white mark left on my coat. It is completely ruined :( I am trying to research on how to fix it but I am worried there's no hope.
Someone please let me know if theres anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks."

Hi Vanessa! We're sorry that you've had issues with Tide To Go. This doesn't sound like permanent damage. To remove the spots, just wash the item again using the hottest water safe for the fabric and the recommended amount of Tide. If it does not wash out, your fabric may have unstable dye. We always recommend doing a colorfast test before use. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at 1-855-236-3353. Thank you!

"Shoddy pen design"
October 25, 2014
"I bought a 3-pack of the Tide to Go pens thinking I could have one stashed in my home, work, and car. However, upon trying to use the pens I found that the caps do not come off easily. In fact, on two of them the cap was held on so tight that instead of coming off, the whole top of the pen came off in my hand and spilled detergent all over the place. What a waste of money!"

We're so sorry that you're having trouble with our To Go pen. A new cap was made to be tighter when we learned the old cap was too loose and came off to easily when in storage. We are working on the finding the right balance between too tight and too loose. In the meantime, it is always good to twist and pull when attempting to remove the cap. We hope you'll bear with us as we work on this issue. Thanks!

"Not for mascara"
October 16, 2014
"I got some mascara on my white pants and Tidetogo did not get it out. I was disappointed, but do like the idea of having a stain remover in my purse"

Hi Thalia! Thanks for giving Tide to Go a try. Tide to Go works on many stains, but no product will remove all stains.
This works best on fresh food stains (tomato juice, grape juice, ketchup, BBQ sauce, coffee, etc.) but does not work well on ink, blood, grease, grass, mud.
We're sorry it didn't work for your mascara stain, but we can provide a long-term stain solution for your problem. Give this a try: http://www.tide.com/en-US/stains/result/cosmetics.jspx
